NSWAFUA – Representing Umpires in Sydney
The NSWAFUA is the representative body of umpires who officiate in the Australian Football League, Sydney (“AFL Sydney”, formerly the “Sydney AFL”). Our incorporated name is the New South Wales Australian Football Umpires’ Association Incorporated, or the “NSWAFUA”.
Football matches are held across the Sydney region, from Penrith to Gore Hill, Camden and Miranda; we go everywhere!
We also have an extremely diverse group, officiating football matches across all age groups and genders. This includes Men’s and Women’s Premier Division matches through to the Masters competition.
Appointments in State League games may lead to higher opportunities, including representative football, the NAB National Championships, the VFL/VFLW competition and ultimately the AFL/AFLW and we have a proud record of past and current AFL umpires.
Along with fostering fellowship and community within the AFL Sydney Umpiring Group, the Association represents all umpires at the AFL NSW/ACT Commission. We provide support and assistance to our Members through our extensive list of services, events and programs.
